Dare to Bare it......Every single woman has an obsession with something they like to own or wear. Anyone that knows me personally, KNOWS I LOVE makeup 💄. I don’t wear copious amounts of it, but I love owning it, selecting it, trying new things and being bold at times with a look I feel. It’s something I enjoy. However, it’s good to be able to take it all off and appreciate your natural beauty. I’m 38. I’ve never had plastic surgery or Botox. I have lots of wrinkles now and laugh lines. I don’t have permanent makeup or eyelash extensions. It’s not because I don’t like all of those things or at times think, that looks so beautiful!!! Currently, in my life I don’t have the expense account to invest in that type of monthly upkeep regardless if I wanted it. I have had to learn not to allow it to change my self confidence in a very superficial aesthetic world. There is so much pressure now on anti-aging for women, I mean everyone wants to look their best and slow down the wrinkle game. Depending on where you live or what industry you work in can even heighten this obsession. Vegas definately has elevated my anxiety at times about this and if I am going to be honest, made me question a few times my confidence in the skin I’m in. I have eye creams and face masks, I wear special lotions and makeup to try to cover up my dark eyes circles at 4am. But, at the end of the day, when I take it all off and look in the mirror I need to be comfortable and confident with myself and never lose sight of that. Ladies, you are beautiful. You don’t need special treatments to make you more desirable or a ton of makeup to make you pretty. Don’t be afraid to age. Don’t do it to attract the opposite sex, I mean if we are going to be honest MOST men barely have their own regiment for anti aging and if they do, it’s because their partners have introduced them to it and they are in a relationship anyway. Spending more time and focus on challenging the inside; working on self worth and confidence will ultimately shine through and highlight your beauty. I believe if you can be confident with your natural look, you will embrace each stage of your life more and aging will seem more fruitful.
